Website updates!
Here at Building on Basics we are all about empowering people to understand their finances. As part of that mission, we are adding a Glossary page to our website.
We want our website to be an easy place to go for a whole lot of resources around finance, a place you can come to build your financial capability. From interest rates to KiwiSaver, from active fund managers to employer contributions – we will do our best to explain it all in a clear and concise way!
Finance has its own language, and it can be intimidating or just downright confusing. We want to demystify the world of finance for you. We believe that no matter your financial starting position, you can build towards the life you want. Everyone has ‘the basics’ – a starting position and a level of financial knowledge – and we’re here to support you on your journey to financial success. Understanding the terminology of the finance industry will help you to feel confident about your financial future.
There is so much specialised terminology in every area of finance – everyday banking, investment property, KiwiSaver, life insurance, lending. We have made a start and would love your feedback if there are other terms or areas of finance that you would like to see covered on our glossary.
We are also putting together a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page. What are the questions you have about Building on Basics? Is there something that you’ve been unsure about, or something that held you back from contacting us? We want to be as transparent as possible, it’s all about empowering you to understand how all of this finance stuff works. One thing that lots of people ask about is how much our services cost – the answer is $0 most of the time! We will definitely cover that in the FAQs.
Send us an email or a comment on Facebook, we would love to hear from you.
